Butterfly, Finding Flower |
"Butterfly, Finding Flower" (나비‚ 꽃을 찾다), alternatively translated as "Butterfly, Find a Flower", is the first single by M.A.S 0094. It was released on August 13, 2015 to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Korea from Japanese colonial rule.
"Butterfly, Finding Flower" was written by the band's maknae CyA dedicated to "comfort women" (kindly addressed as Grandmas), women and girls who were forced into sexual slavery by the Imperial Japanese Army during and before World War II. The band donated all of their proceeds from the song and their weekly busking performances to support the 47 living Grandmas.[1][2]
Trivia[]
- CyA first came up with the idea and wrote "Butterfly, Finding Flower" after seeing a webtoon about "comfort women".[3]
