XOXO is the second special album by ONEWE. It was released on August 29, 2023 and features 2 unit songs, "SALTY BOY" by Dong Myeong and Giuk and "Omnipresent" by Harin and Giuk, as the album's double title tracks.[1]
Background[]
On August 21, 2023, ONEWE posted a logo motion video announcing the release of their second special album XOXO on August 29. The album contains two unit songs: "SALTY BOY" by members Dong Myeong and Giuk, and "Omnipresent" by members Harin and Giuk.
"SALTY BOY" was first revealed through a unit performance during the band's O! NEW E!volution Ⅱ Encore concert on May 15, 2022.
An earlier version of "Omnipresent" was previously released by Giuk on his personal SoundCloud under the song's Korean title "동서남북 (2019.05.28)" (Prod. Giuk) on April 7, 2021.
Members Yong Hoon and Kang Hyun, both completing their military service at the time of XOXO's release, did not participate as releasing artists; however, Kang Hyun was credited for guitar in "Omnipresent" which he had recorded for the original version "동서남북 (2019.05.28)".
