Yong Hoon (용훈) is a South Korean singer-songwriter and musician under RBW. He is the leader and main vocalist of the alternative rock band ONEWE.
Career[]
2015-2016: M.A.S 0094 formation and debut[]
Yong Hoon is the fifth and final member of the self-formed band M.A.S 0094, now known as ONEWE.
In 2015, while studying at college, Yong Hoon entered the Suwon K-pop contest as a singer-songwriter. After winning the first round on May 2, 2015, Yong Hoon was approached with a cup of coffee by four teenagers, there as the session band for the contest, who asked him to be their main vocal. This band of teenagers were the other members of ONEWE. Accepting their offer, Yong Hoon began busking with the band on the streets of Hongdae that same month.[1] He won the grand prize for the contest in October of that year.
He previously trained under CUBE Entertainment along with PENTAGON members and was in a vocal trainee group with Jinho and Hui as the top 3 vocal trainees.[2]
The band chose the name M.A.S 0094 to mean "Make A Sound" plus the birth years of their youngest members, "2000", and Yong Hoon, "1994", as their eldest member.
He released his first single with M.A.S 0094 on August 13, 2015, "Butterfly, Finding Flower", and made his official debut with the band on August 2, 2016 on SBS MTV's The Show.
2017-2018: MAS and The Unit[]
On April 1, 2017, Yong Hoon, with M.A.S 0094, signed an exclusive artist contract with RBW. The band's name was shortened to MAS and Yong Hoon became the leader.
In October of the same year, Yong Hoon auditioned alongside MAS for the survival show The Unit. He was eliminated in the 7th episode and ranked 58th place.
In June of 2018, his band's name was changed again from MAS to ONEWE.
2019: Re-debut as ONEWE[]
He made his re-debut with ONEWE under RBW on May 13, 2015, with the digital single album "1/4" and his self-composed title track "Reminisce about All".[3]

Military service[]
On June 21, 2022, Yong Hoon announced he would be enlisting in the military as an active-duty soldier on July 12.[4] From October 6 to October 10, 2023, he performed as a member of the special performance team for the 2023 Army Festival.[5] He was discharged on January 11, 2024.[6]
